They argue that most empirical research into executive coaching is concerned with the value of coaching from the perspective of the client but rightly point out that this is far too narrow to be of real value.  They examining adjacent fields, namely psychotherapy, they have also conducted their own research and share some of their preliminary findings from they are able to draw some very interesting conclusions.
